If I’m brutally honest, which I normally am, I just ate the most delicious scone of my entire life here and I don’t think I’ll ever recover. Imagine it now, you’re in a cozy tearoom and you take a bite into this scone and not only does it smell heavenly but it melts into your mouth and the taste!!! I’m writing this after getting home and all I can think about is that scone. This little cafe is lovely and if you’re in the area I very very much recommend it. The staff was also so sweet and if I’m being honest I’d make the 3 hour drive just for that scone

Great place to call in. Food is good, Car parking can be a struggle and the place does get busy. It's about a 1/2 hour walk from Keswick.

The Chalet Tearooms and Restaurant in Portinscale covers all bases, be that breakfast or lunch, coffee and cake or beer/wine. It has a lovely family feel with friendly staff and the food is delicious. They have seating inside/out and is dog friendly.

Really great spot for a bite to eat after hiking in the area. Large cafe/restaurant with outdoor seating. Sandwiches, soup, jacket potatoes, pizzas and more. Also cakes and scones. The service was great and the food was wholesome and tasty. Highly recommend.

After a very wet walk around Derwent water we stopped in for a light lunch at the Chalet tearoom. Great idea to put your sunflower in the bottle to get served our waitress was straight over. The wife had pulled pork with apple chutney ciabatta and I had chicken and avocado sandwich, both came quite quickly and were delicious. We will definitely be back, thank you

Lovely chalet style restaurant with tasty food and drink options. Several cake options too. All choices we made were plentiful and delicious. Great service, clean and spacious indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Just had a lovely breakfast here. We had Eggs Benedict for and pancakes. Really nice. Let's in dogs so that was good.
